2009 GRADUATION

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION

  • A list of potential graduates will be posted outside the Guidance office.  Please advise Mrs. Chiandussi or Mrs. Jacques if there are any corrections, additions or deletions.
  • A student who wishes to attend the graduation ceremony MUST be a potential graduate – a 30 CREDITS –including 18 or 16 COMPULSORIES by the end of summer school.  If you do not fall into this category, yet wish to attend the ceremony as a graduate, you MUST  get written permission from Mr. Minello.
  • Students will be allowed to attend a graduation ceremony only once.  If you are a graduate, attending the ceremony this year and choose to return to school, you WILL NOT be permitted to attend a second ceremony.
  • The GRADUATION BANNER is a tradition at Holy Names.  Suggestions for the banner   (a drawing) relating to this year’s theme GOOD NEWS FOR ALL  , must be submitted to Mrs. Jacques, or Mrs. Chiandussi by February 13, 2009.  If no submissions are made, there will be no graduation banner.
ORDER FORMS FOR CAPS AND GOWNS

  • There is no distribution center for Graduation caps and gowns in the Windsor area.  The gowns must be ordered from Winnipeg, at least two months in advance.  To insure that your gowns are received in time for graduation, it is necessary to submit your: Graduation form on time.
  • All graduates will wear a black gown.  Please be certain to print your name clearly on the form.  Your height can be verified on your driver’s license.  The graduation fee includes a souvenir cap with a tassel.
  • The order form must be submitted by Thursday February 26, 2009 (Early bird special only $80 if submitted by Friday February 6, 2009)

HONOUR STOLES

All graduating students who have achieved 80% or better in every course which they have taken since starting high school will receive an honour stole at graduation.  A list will be posted outside of guidance office of potential recipients.  If your name does not appear on the list and you think that you qualify, please see Mrs. Chiandussi as soon as possible.

HONOUR CORDS

All graduating students who have been on the honour roll for each year and who are not already receiving an honour stole, will receive an honour cord.  A list will be posted outside of the guidance office of potential recipients.  If your name does not appear on the list and you think that it should be there, please see Mrs. Chiandussi as soon as possible.

  • JUNE 23, 2009           PICK UP GRADUATION GOWN (B175) 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • JUNE 24, 2009           GRADUATION AT CABOTO
  • Mass is at 5 p.m.
  • Students must report to the Caboto at 4:00 p.m.
  • Graduation ceremony will be immediately after Mass
  • The gown must be returned after the ceremony
  • DO NOT TAKE THE GOWN OUT OF THE BUILDING
  • MID-JULY                        DIPLOMA AND REPORT CARD READY
to be picked up at school.
