What:
S.W.A.T. ( Students Working Against Trouble ) is a club based on the peer helper and peer grouping concepts, where students are trained to help their peers.Students are either recommended by teachers or sign up for the club.  We help in the transition of students into our school community.  Examples of this could be in how we play a great role in welcoming our grade nine students. Members of S.W.A.T. host different activities that  “break the ice” so to speak, like grade nine orientation day in August. They also intend to visit grade eight classes this year so we can get an even earlier start on the transition students will experience when coming from grade school to high school.  It can be overwhelming at times.

We are involved in many community services such as pasta drives and St. Vincent De Paul.  We do many activities that try to fight against the injustices people are facing,we incorporated Anti - Bullying week into Rachel’s Challenge two years ago.  Throughout the year S.W.A.T. members reach out to students.  We try to keep our eyes and ears open to all possible forms of bullying in the school and either try to prevent it or report it to their teacher moderators.

S.W.A.T. is a club that exemplifies our school spirit in the best possible way as we strive to create a welcoming and supportive school community.
