Academic Information
*Language Arts: Please have your child read every evening. Encourage
him/her to read with expression.
Word Study - Your child will receive a set of new words every Monday.
Please go over the words and practise them every evening. A test will
be given and sent home on Friday for corrections and parent/guardian
signature. Any word that is incorrect will carry over to the following
week.
*Math: We are currently working on measurement.
*Science: This term we have learned about the changes that occur during
the Fall and Winter. We are also completing our unit on objects and materials.
*Social Studies: We are currently working on science at this time.
Upcoming Events:
*Milk Sales - Chocolate and white milk is on sale for $0.90 a ticket or 10 tickets for $9.00.
*No School: there is no school for our students on the following days

*BE a P.A.L. (Protect a Life!) Please keep in mind that we are a PEANUT/NUT
AWARE SCHOOL. We have children in our school with life threatening
peanut/nut allergies. Please check labels on your children's snacks to ensure
that they are peanut/nut free.
* As part of your child's daily homework, he/she is encouraged to read for 10
minutes.
* Agendas - All homework, as well as any special notes can be found in your
child's agenda. Please check the agenda on a daily basis and initial it each
evening. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to address
them in the agenda and I will respond to them as soon as possible.
* Our class visits the computer lab every Thursday.
*Please note that our school collects Zehrs' receipts, as well pop tabs and empty
printer cartridges.
